Ultrasonic Cleaner
Equipcon's Ultrasonic Cleaner is used in various industries for cleaning and degreasing objects, often before or after NDT inspections.
An ultrasonic cleaner works by generating high-frequency sound waves in a liquid cleaning solution. The rapid pressure changes caused by these sound waves create microscopic bubbles in the liquid. When the bubbles collapse, they produce high-energy shock waves, which help remove contaminants such as dirt, grease, oil, and other particles from the surfaces of the objects being cleaned.
Before conducting ultrasonic testing (UT), it's crucial to ensure that the surfaces of the materials are free from contaminants that could interfere with the accuracy of the inspection. Cleaning with an ultrasonic cleaner can be effective in achieving this level of cleanliness.
